The DCT880 is a new product and this is the first application of this type to be installed in the UK. ICONSYS recently finished manufacturing a suite of four control panels for a 2,200A upgrade to an Electro Tin Plating process line for a Steel manufacturer based in South Wales. The upgrade will allow our customer to increase the rate at which Tin is deposited on a continuously-moving steel strip. The upgrade will improve line speeds, increase production outputs and remove bottlenecks in the current process. The panel suite of four ABB DCT880 AC Power Controllers will interface with the lines GEM80 PLCs via an S7-1500 Link. The Factory Acceptance Test and delivery is due before the end of the month.
